Worn by OvaHimba women (omukazendu).  This example was made in 2020 by Ms Kajoo Muharukua.  The leather was made from a cow’s hide.  Ochre was then applied to change the colour and traditional butter rubbed in to keep the skin soft.  Decorative metalwork was added (Collection of the Museum of Namibian Fashion).
