Arrow of life

This was my very first tattoo. I had it done in the year 2017.

The arrow is made up of different little elements that make it whole. In the middle is a semi-colon. This is a universal symbol to give strength to those who have struggled with mental health in their life, and may have contemplated suicide as a result. 

The symbolic meaning is that the difficulties which the individual faces at the time do not translate as the end of their life and therefore does not need to be a full stop, but rather a semi-colon which means that it is simply a break and that life continues regardless of the struggles.

The second symbol which is located towards the end of the arrow is an infinity sign. My sister and I got the same tattoo at the same time and therefore the infinity sign represents our infinite love for each other.

The arrow as a whole means that sometimes life would pull you back (difficulties) so far that once it finally releases you from that pull, it launches you straight to the place that you need be, your destiny (which is a more positive and peaceful space or time in your life). Similar to what happens when shooting an arrow.
